RETENTION AND DISPOSAL OF BUSINESS RECORDS POLICY

According to Section 35.48 of the Texas Business & Commerce Code, the “Personal Identifying Information” of all clients and the information relating thereto submitted to this office consists of the following:
Date of Birth
Social Secuirty Number or other government-issued identification number
Mother’s maiden name
Unique biometric data, including the individual’s fingerpirnt, voice print, and retina or iris image
Unique electronic identification number, address or routing code
Telecommunication access device, including debit and credit card information
or
Financial institution account number or any other financial information
It is the policy of this office to dispose of Personal Identifying Information contained within a client’s file when disposing of that file. This office retains the right, but not the obligation, to dispose of such information (as well as the remainder of the file) 30 days after the closing of that file or matter.
